“I see a wonderful future in a very uncertain world. If we will cling to our values, if we will build on our inheritance, if we will walk in obedience before the Lord, if we will simply live the gospel we will be blessed in a magnificent and wonderful way. We will be looked upon as a peculiar people who have found the key to a peculiar happiness.”
—Gordon B. Hinckley, “Look to the Future”, Ensign, Nov. 1997, 67
A Badge of Honor
I love this quote and from it comes the tag line for this site and the reason behind the name Crazy Mormon Dad.
“We will be looked upon as a peculiar people who have found the key to a peculiar happiness.”
Personally I wear the title peculiar more as a badge of honor. If we look around us I see a lot of people pretending to be happy, or at least seeking happiness in a lot of wrong places. We know from the prophet Nephi that men are that they may have joy and we are all trying to find that real happiness. If we will follow the prophetic counsels and “simply like the gospel” we will find that happiness that alludes so many.
When we can fear God more than man and simply do what we know to be right we can have joy.
